Walk the LINE

OKAY! I know…johnny cash gave me that title and yes that was the song on my mind when i walked for the lovely Ritu Kumar! Wait, that did happen just a few days ago on the 27th of august, Saturday!

“Mom, Madre or your Maman plays a cinematic role in every girls behavior, demeanor and style. We followed our mother and her aesthetics which were simple, traditional and hand embroidered by her favorite Indian designer, Mrs Ritu Kumar. Trailing her, she became a part of our wardrobe early on too. The Salwar kameez which were passed on to us, can be still seen on the two of us in our daily lives. Meeting her for the first time didn’t feel new at all since we felt we had known her through each thread, weave and needle that had created the garment we so frequently adorn. We truly feel a part of the heritage now!”– Zoya

Special Thanks to Amrish Kumar,  a dear friend and creative director of the label for getting us to walk that line! The clothes were a part of the new collection which is sporty, young and something you need in your closet! The fashion show was themed as a tennis court and the models walked with old style wooden tennis rackets, bags, visors and head/wrist bands. Want to knock?!
